with the turbo helping to achieve more than 100 percent volumetric efficiency, with no extra load on the crank, how will that cause drag through back pressure?

I remember reading the SAE papers on the Corvair, during the cooling testing, they found that the system needed 2.3 PSI of pressure acting on the cylinder fins to be most efficient, and that flow volume was not as important.

My limited understanding is that there is a pumping loss in turning the turbine. Obviously at the end of the day it's a net positive.

That's interesting... I could waste into a pressurized vessel around the cylinders and then bleed from there. I will have to look into that.

Vacuum actuator hooked up to a throttle body?

Something like this seems to be a possibility to solve snap off throttle and part throttle.

As for boost limiting..

http://www.928m.com/parts/boostlimitervalve.php

Now those are crazy over priced, I could get some made cheaper.. but know you can source similar for around $30.
