reminds me of a cage we saw at pikes peak. i believe they let it go, but said never again.

silly looking. funny, the other forum asks him about how he plans on removing his dash or something. i just don't get it. you WELD in a cage, but altering the dash, god no!

At my first rally sprint a guy showed up in a ford escort (the bad fwd kind), with a cage made from plumbing tubes! No need to bend anything, just screw in some 90s and 45s where need and voila!

That guy also had home made 5 points harnesses out of normal seatbelts that his mother had sewn together.

I'm not kidding! I should have taken pics but being my first event and nervous about tech, I forgot I had a cameras!

Rumors wrong. I used for years a USFS (Forest Service) 100% nomex smoke jumper fire suit.
Worked great, never had a problem at tech. It was pull of nice pockets for everything including several pockets for pens/pencils so I always had one for co-drivers who didn't listen and couldn't find their spares....

One co-driver DID show up with a 100% Nomex USAF filight suit once, they let it pass, but as the admitted reason for the firesuit rule was "in order to achieve a more professional appearance" I could see why Tech boys would want to say no to a boring olive drab suit: no bling. That's all that counted....

(Can't even be right on rumors, must be frustrating to be so constantly wrong)
