No, doubting---questioning people who have done these things we do here for maybe double the time you've been on the earth is 'not being human" its being presumptuous. That's the way I read it, and Timm that's the way a lot of people have said they read your words too. I build an awful lot of everything, FWD, RWD---for those that are smart, and AWD, where do you get your snide everything based on a rwd car "of about the same size and weight"? You can ask without it sounding like you're trying to challenge somebody... > > Feisty Peacock? > > John Vanlandingham Sleezattle, WA, USA Vive le Prole-le-ralliat www.rallyrace.net/jvab CALL +1 206 431-9696 Remember! I didnt mean it like that, I was talking about the way Ford engineered it. Its just a crappy design. Thats why they should make some subframes to boot. John any chances you can make something similar for Hondas? |

I like the juxtaposition of the fancy new shite with the drum brakes.
My quick study with a pen, paper and a engineering scale makes me think the car will be stable as it toes in under compression (outside wheel) and toes out in droop. IE it resists over steer. Removing the sway bar does the same if the spring rates etc are the same as before, but I expect it all changed. Only thing to do is go try it out! In the long run reality always wins. |

Agreed Paul, their main concern obviously was to not impinge on the interior. We don't have that concern, we want predictable stable movements. The subframe is incredibly chees-oid on these, and we intend to double skin the pick up plates cause they're THIN! If we have a bodyshell of the sort needed, why not? It was on Hondas I first saw this "only stong in the trailing position and ONLY if there are no side force" type flat junk. Now we have Fuck-us, and Vuck-us S-30, and the new Suck-us Impreztled, what not a Huck-us? or a Honk-us? Ben's Focus has a different hood, air dam, and has a big wing on the back. Also, Ben drove a Datsun 210 at Idaho. |
