I have used Ballard Sheet Metal many times for SS work, not sure if they have a water or laser cutter but they always got my bits made at fair prices and quickly.
They would at least know who to talk to if they can not do it. In the long run reality always wins. |

That is not a problem with nitrogen assist laser cutting and even less a problem in normal grades of stainless. Don't worry about that and get your parts laser cut because they will be cheaper, the edges will be cleaner, and the features will be more square. -Tim |

nitrogen is very good at preventing oxidation. copper oxidizes and becomes porous
and contaminated on my cutting tips. ss will have a porous and black cut on the back with plasma and very little with laser and no nitrogen. I know of 3 shops that might do it one off what are you making? this was cut with just air it cleaned up fine just you cant do directional grind material because you have to clean the edges. ![]() TSSFAB.US No HYPE just parts!!!! I think for a critical piece like this, machining the thing out of a single block of billet alu is the only reasonable method of manufacture.

We mainly used galvanized, but we also used stainless. I understand your wanting to get it cut via laser/water/plasma. The waterjet parts were SO nice to make (well, besides the company using shitty tolerances), compared to fabricating boxes and vents by hand, which takes forever. Especially with stainless.
