Old Radial arm saws fitted with a carborundum wheel do a nice job of making low angle cuts when held in a simple jig.



Then a drill press to notch the legs in the same jig:




And voila:



Oh and this design isnt FMEA tested or what not but is real world tested and no one died yet. I like the fact that they are free standing and more stable than the basic triangle ones I built before.
I use old gearbox layshafts for the pins, they are 20mm and nice and strong and fit inside 1" OD .095 wall tubing perfectly.

Haha ok ok I guess I should re-state that: nobody died yet AND I do not expect anybody to die as a result of my shoddy barn-brewed stands failing, but proceed at your own risk because I'm not an engineer I just play one on the internet.

I just reworked the back of the fence to let it travel more dont know about 70 but it will go way more then 45.
