Derek I think the Old Dave Clark is alluding to another BMW to be driven by another Dave , not Derik, but I dun't wanna give away too many Hints...eye rolling smiley

I think that that other Dave should be calling up somebody who has just done some really nice suspension for another Bavarian Maggot Wagon---since according to the other Derik, there's only one place very very far away making suspenders and they cost more than 3 1/2 times what the other BMW guy got his for...and there's sothing to be said for having somebody LOCAL to work with......the best deals aren't always the most distant and most expensive..

But no more hints...

The longer you wait and the more secretive about the car before it comes out, the more likely you are to end up on the front page of Grassroots Motorsports or the NY Times and land big dollar sponsorship money!
I assume this is just going to be a Global Rallycross car since we all now see stage rally is nearly dead.

Nearly dead? I thought it died all ready, If we tell spalind it died maybe he will go back to building his desert racing truck for all those desert races up in New Hampshire and spare us his fucking ramblings.

But back to BMW news, i am really excited to see 3 BMW's MaxAttacking at Olympus!

JV is a clever guy.

I'm mainly just doing the rollcage as that's all I have time for. (Got this little Ferrari race car project going on as well.) Doug Chase will be doing the rest of the prep and Dave has already ordered parts and pieces, that's not really my department.

But yeah,a driver who has had a lot of RWD success in the past getting back to his roots in a car that should be more affordable to run in the long term than an open class Subaru.

Man, all the cool kids are going into gp5. It's gonna suck when this particular cool kid hands me my ass like he did when I had my gtx and he was last in a rwd car. I better remember how to pedal this car o' mine ifn we ever get it running...

PS> There is another budget option out there for suspension for E36 BMWs (and other cars). As in not the Reiger or Ohlins and not custom Bilsteins...

Damn-it if all the cool kids start driving M3's I might be forced to join in by shear peer pressure. Damn Damn Damn.

I must go think about this for a bit and not look at any rally sites for a few weeks. I sold my Subie street car today so I really do need to go buy a car as it is still winter and I am on the motorcycle till I do.
