Traction control is for pussies.
April 01, 2011 06:24AM

It impedes airflow and the traction control will be rendered useless since the ABS pump is now on the junk pile. Besides, who wants traction control? Where's the fun in that?

So I gutted the throttle body:

and welded up the holes:

You do nice work...for a tall person.

I don't work on Bimmers so...it has two throttle plates stacked? One to make the motor go and one to make it whoa?

Yep, the traction control works through the ABS to brake the rear wheels and this throttle body to choke off the engine. In the first pic you can see the short throttle cable going in to the electric controller motor hanging under the throttle body.

Pretty damn good looking stuff. I'm still not familiar enough with all the cage regs and all that but any cage that looks like it could withstand a bull fertilizing the whole heard of cattle at once without collapsing gets my seal of approval. Damn sturdy stuff!
