How about a T4 truck class for trucks over 7500 lbs?

What Grant said. We have enough (too many) classes already, why add another that one or two people in the whole US would even bother with?

The same logic SCCA uses in Cone Squishing: more classes means more wieners, and more wieners means more happy guys parading around with tacky bits of plastic..
Who can go and lie to their friends "Why I won this weekend at the Big Race" and neglect to say there we no other people in the class.

How about we put a maximum as raced weight of 3500lbs with crew? Less inertia when crashing, less road damage when rallying.

I want in. How about a service rig class like in the Dakar? then the whole team can get in on the fun!

School bus racing is all good fun until one of those things goes through the barriers that were designed to hold cars and ends up in the crowd.

I only think we should have a large truck class if the trucks have to carry all their own spare parts, tools, and a mechanic.

Way back when I test drove a school bus like that, $1500, and it came with 3 cords of nice oak firewood in back (it had your name on it Grant) I settled for a volvo.

I see a fun use for surplus army trucks - I like the idea of having to carry all your servicing needs with you.

Wilson: Sure, why not. When you get 5 of them to a rally we'll have a class for them.

The same offer is open to the rest of you nutters. smiling smiley We can do karts at Rally Tennessee, ATVs at Rally West Virginia, you name it.

Anders

Grassroots rally. It's what I think about.
