I just made mine out of some 16 gauge sheet metal, a wilwood master, and some 1/4 inch aluminum. It's quite simple, and easy.

How well does it lock up the wheels on stages?

This is top secret information.

I think I paid $5 for the used Nissan Master cylinder and about $1.50 for the AN fittings then spent a bit of time with a welder and presto had me self a hydro brake. I left the stock handle on it so it still had a push button but I figured out how to make it work so you pressed the button to lock otherwise it was unlocked.

Now I figure the handbrake is there only as a last resort oh shit handle so I would typically not use it on stage, might pull it once every three rallys or so. Thus I was not too worried about making it fancy. I am fairly sure I did not use it at all in the last two years of driving other then to park the car on a hill.

I don't actually intend on USING my hydro handbrake, I just want it there to look cool when people are checking out the car at <insert rally name here>'s parc expose.

the more buttons, switches and levers, the better.

I have no hydro handbrake. I'm pretty sure that in about 50 rallies I've only missed having it once - and that was on a stage at Olympus 2007 that hasn't been run since.

Quite frankly, US rallies aren't tight enough to warrant the fuss.

Maybe if we were all running AWD cars, having something that would open the center diff might be handy, but everyone knows that the cool people run 2WD.
