I was gonna say it had a JVAB hood support!

But looking at the cage, I think it's a knock-off.

I saw that guy on ohiovw and i'm planning a trek down south to see what he has. probably less than an hour drive for me

his pm box is full.

He has a LOT of stuff. I've purchased bits and pieces from him over the years. 5x5x5 crates full of axles, piles of subframes, rows of engines, etc. Sad he's got to get rid of it all.

I'm probably going to go there on Saturday and see what the intersection is of my funding slope vs. the cargo capacity of my wagon. I have standing orders for ABA engines and 16v cylinder heads. One of my friends (the Audi Fox guy) has a baseball game in the vicinity, I'll probably end up hauling a bunch of stuff down to his shop in Columbus for him. He probably wouldn't want to haul stuff home in his XR4Ti.

The parts sale is just south of Canton. 250/I-77 area.

My friend's on the south side of Columbus, and the first-Saturday-of-the-month get-together is probably going to wind up at his shop after 6pm or so. Mostly Audi guys, but a little bit of everything.

Had a nice 45 minute drive in the dirty-datsun last night down to vw partsland.

8-10 incomplete projects in the yard, a few with a lot of potential, but you can tell they've been sitting a long time how the tires are sunk into the ground on a few of em all vw cept a wrecked rare early 80's amg badged thing in the barn a svx that he said has been sitting on jackstands for 2 years with a bad gearbox. (surprise!)

I'll at least pick up a hood and a rear beam, probably some other bits and pieces. He has some other bits i might pick up, but i really don't know half of what i'm loooking at.

Is he actually going to scrap everything? He'll clear out enough of the heavy stuff to get a couple pieces of equipment in the barn. Methinks the current bout of scrap fever is to motivate tire kickers and lowballers to not screw him around.

It doesn't work that way though. "I'm giving you a DEAL at $10 for this 16v engine, you think the scrapyard will give you more?"
