ARGH! Bad Turbina!

So something got stuck in the hole of the oil restrictor and kept oil from getting into the turbo?
That really sucks. I would suggest going with a remote oil filter with two outputs, one to go direct to the turbocharger and one that goes to the oil cooler and then back to block. That is how I have my car setup based upon how Ford did it from the WRC Escort book I have. They also have a lever to cut oil to the turbo in case seals went to prevent losing all the oil through the turbo but I didn't go that far.
Did I mention that really sucks.

Thanks AJ - if I were to go back to the K24's I'd still have a rebuild done - which would cost about the same as the Garrett rebuild will....

My Son and another Audi perv are both telling me to just toss a V8 into the sucka (my son's already done the 4.2l into his 1995 90 - goes pretty effin good!)

Thanks Grant - that's actually how the Audi's are setup...from the oil filter housing, 1 output goes directly to the turbo, 1 output goes to the oil cooler and then back to the oil filter housing.

So - potentially, that little bastahd, could have been in the oil line - it was new SS line, I did tig a fitting onto a flange for the AN female fitting - who knows it may have been from the weld.

Not trying to sell it. Just offering it up for free loan. I want to see some vids of that bad boy in the air, IF you are in a pinch to get it going for any of the years remaining events.
