I checked ETKA - and your part number doesn't show up. The MC engines should be in the 034 100 family of part numbers.

On the AAN motor the bearings were flush with connecting rod mating surfaces.

This has been my understanding as well. This motor (to my knowledge) came out of a 200 turbo, which now that I think about it is MC2. Either way, it is a dual knock sensor motor running on the mac14 ecu. All the measurements are weird tho. The 034 100 engine code is not on this block anywhere. It is the 034 head casting, but a different block.

Some professional advancement opportunities have presented themselves, so the car is back burnered again.

ok - yes MC2, ETKA noted that there is an alternative pno 054 103 634 for the short block.

Good luck on the advancement opportunities - may they bring you back to the car building soon winking smiley

Cool. that is good to know. The career advancement may mean slapping the car together in order to move it to Washington or selling. We shall see.

How does one gain access to ETKA? and can you verify the rod bearing part number for that short block?

There is an etka on-line somewhere - however, a few years ago there was a download available which I grabbed. I'd be willing to share - its a couple of Gig worth of files - if you have a 2 gig or so memory stick - I'd be glad to put the files on there for ya.

MC1 and MC2 con rod numbers show to be the same...sorry for the delay in getting back here...was working on the car, the good news is the 20vt is now running w/the GT2871 - woot!
