Awesome video but why is he taking his hand off the wheel when he shift? You can just stick your fingers out and shift as you're going into the turn when you turn the wheel...

Seems like rally cars have come full circle with the the paddle shifters on the steering wheel. Or SAAB was just ahead of their time!

Makes me wish I still had that '67 V4 Monte Carlo.

That's all you need back there on a 96. Did you ever hear about the time I codrove for JV and a rear spindle broke in the middle of a turn? Long story short we threw the wheel (which we retrieved from the woods) in the trunk and kept going on three wheels. It really didn't slow us down much.

I remember watching some old black and white footage of those things racing... They seemed to only need 3 of 4 at any given time. Which 3, ofcourse, depended on the turn...

Let's just say that left hand turns were just like normal but right hand turns were a bit noisy.
