They are almost done. Just final welding left to do. Came out super Bitchin if you ask me.

Hard to tell from the photos but it looks like the reinforcing gussets will prevent the outboard/bushing side of the mounts
from coming out vertically. Does this mean you detach the inboard/motor block side when you want to pull the engine?

Yep. Without those little triangles, it was a very likely place for cracking to occur. I did not do this mod for ease of engine change, so it does not bother me.

Or slide it back and forth and lift one side at a time possibly.

In other words, sometimes we decide to divert from an already proven design and then we have to add things to avoid one problem and create another.

Welded them up tonight. I have been having issues getting quality welds lately, took out the cheap wire I bought somewhere, and put in a fresh roll of quality wire from the welding supply. What a difference that made. No more budget wire for me.
