You have the lines backwards on the master. On those Girling type masters the feed port in the front one. Just switch them around and you'll be good.

You're so judgmental, mang! You're harshing our mellow.

Maybe you like to plumb 'em that way, and I plumb them that way but maybe these are different?

As I said most guys hook 'em up the way did first...
Maybe our way is just the OLD way.
You know like old and outdated.

I mean when you buy the mastercylinders there is an instruction sheet.
Just cause they show the drawing I posted doesn't mean everybody has to do it just one way.drinking smiley

More guys do it that way first than the silly drawing.
They should pay attention to customers, I mean so many do it the way you did, they ought change it.
They already do homie. All the good modern (less than 40yo) master cylinders dont have the fluid flowing in reverse like those. Look at the Tiltons, AP, Alcon, Brembo. If the piston builds pressure towards the front then why have the feed port at the front and the outlet at the back. No point in having crazy internal reversing of the fluid creating all kinds of hysteresis and impossible to bule print the travel to cut off.

Fawkin Anglaise canaille. Sellin the same backwards crap for centuries!

Yeah one would think that Girling and Bill Wood would have the common sense of updating a design from the early 60's. It would cost hardly anything and for sure they would sell a lot more. Now c'mon Johnn boy, feel the love... not being judgemental. If you want to see judgemental look up this geezer up in seatle that...oh... never mind grinning smiley

BTW I need to call you sometime this week to see if you can machine me some goodies. Like hats and other misc like that.

Yes it is all good to go now I ended up having to get a new master cyl. Since i was doing that i replaced all the brake lines too. I am currently using the same setup as the rally beater. here is a link to it just in case you have never seen it before. Although i am sure you have. http://www.modified.com/projectcars/0103scc_datsun_510_rally_beater_part_1/index.html
I am going to get the car registered on Wed. I drove it for the first time since i started the project 4 years ago. What a great feeling.
