biggest issue with the 8" turbo stuff its its 4.10 maximum. You can muster some 4.30s in the 7" from GTUs but they are a touch rare and not exactly cheap. Frankly, it i were to do it, i would just use the supra differential and avoid the mazda stuff. Especially with how sought after the turbo items are. It would be "simple" im sure, but gear limitations, higher parts costs etc deter me from that route.

If supra diff = alltrac diff as far as flanges are concerned, and if the chassis has mazdog BG hubs, then the toyletta halfshafts drop right in no mods. I also know a guy who was making tubular rear xmembers for mazdas, who could be talked into doing one that takes the toyletta diff. Otherwise, I could be talked into sending some pix of what I did to my rear xmember to swap diff into, at least then you can take that as a warning bout what not to do or sumthin...

Disclaimer .. Jeep + subaru guy.. not much on yota, but with a little digging around

http://www.ringpinion.com/PartsList.aspx?SearchMode=Diff&TypeID=7&DiffID=256&Diff=Toyota+8%22+V6+Rear&CatID=35&Category=Ring+%26+Pinion+Sets

Shows a 5.29 for the 8", not 100% sure if that 3rd member will be compatible with the car though.

I drag my self outta bed and squint thru bloody bandages to see this now: All-Trac was 7.5" And almost always open diff.

Willian Timmins aka TSS Fab is the guy---why not just say it?

I gotta change bandages and lay down,,,bye boys

Alltrac can be had in the torsen flavor, and the open one can be welded.. I have one of each and someday my car'll hold together long enough for me to decide which one I like more.
