Plus; where is the link to final drives for Fucci? Only see Honja

bad website = can't link you directly to it sad smiley

Get thyself to the "Final Drive Gears - Road/Race Series" page - http://www.teammfactory.com/final-drive-gears-road-race
See the little box saying "Please Select Fitment..." with a bunch of honda stuff underneath?
Mouse over that - then scroll down. Ford is right after Honda, but they make about a million different honda parts, so it's a ways down there.

If you want to have plenty of room you can get the front brakes calipers, carriers, and disks from any focus that is 05+. They will be a direct bolt in and fit every 15" wheel on the market.[/quote

Yeah I know the svt front brakes dont allow too many 16" wheels and 15" wheels would for sure not fit. However I have heard of rally guys grinding the calipers down so they can squeeze 15s on them

The main concern at the moment isn't necessarily the transmission. I am most concerned with re-working the cage so it will pass all requirements.

I would be ok running a stock motor and transmission, but hoping it up some would be nice after I get it all running and legal.

Measure the size of your tubes. 1.75x0.095 for the main hoop and main stays and one door bar, 1.5x0.095 for the rest made out of MILD STEEL. If it's a road racing cage, I'd be worried it was 4130 which isn't legal.

IF you're lucky and you have the measurements above you can move forward. You then need to add an a-pillar support bar, extra diagonal on main hoop, roof V or X.

Good luck!

Is there a way to measure the thickness without cutting the cage?

Drill a discreet hole 1/8" and measure.

Hey Chris came by today and we crawled around under the front end some.
We've sorta penciled in this Saturday to come over and get out big hunks of cardboard and start snipping up some templates for the sump guard dealios..
Might also snip up some of the patterns for the little bump we need to make for the rear inner wheel housing for spring clearance..

Might be a good time to pop over. He's a good guy and you can see his cage and how the boxes are made.

Didya measure the tube OD yet?

They had one of these at the last LeMons race I went to. Makes it a hell of a lot easier and you can check every required bar quick and easy.

Out of curiosity, how would you determine that its not 4130 when inspecting the cage?

spark testing is all i know shorter abrupt sparks the harder the materal. 4130 millscale is alot darker so if you cleen the paint off with out scratching it, you might
be able too see
