Thanks for all the help guys. Couple things:

1. How did you offset rotor from hub face?
2. After looking at RX7 calipers, yes, they actually do stick out quite a bit...hmmm whoever gave me this advice may have been a little forgetful on what this is going to take.

May have to space wheel from rotor...

Perhaps they suggested it with huge caveats or maybe you misunderstood.
The RX7 MkII rotors are 280mm and the groove for the disc is cut intending to sit on a large rotor---that's why I went to the bigger 740 rotor when i invented the RX7 on the front of the 240...

But that's neither here nor there now, the question is what can you do.
I was thinking that those smaller caliper like Bob used on his set up might be a thing to look at since they do fit on small set ups...
And I just happen to have some I'd be happy to lend you, and if you like 'em you can buy 'em for oh, say $25 each.
They have wide mounting, I think it's 5.25" c-c.

wanna try 'em?
I have to run to UPS tomorrow. let me know.

And yes you may have to space the wheel out a smidge.

What is the rotor and the other item off of? That looks pretty trick.

Well, the car is an Opel vintage race car. I am using the stock Opel hubs with new ARP studs. I had the aluminum adapter custom made to my specs. The rotor is a 1984 Dodge Daytona turbo rotor (24 mm thick x 260 mm OD). Rotor cost was only $19 each.

I used generic steel caliper brackets which I cut and drilled to fit the caliper to the stock spindle. Total investment is around $600...that's everything, even the new hardware.

They fit steel circle track wheels with room to spare, and they fit inside Panasport 13 x 8's with no problem either. A huge improvement over the stock non-vented rotors that are 240 mm. Calipers have four 1.375" pistons, which are only about 6% larger than the stock 2-piston 45 mm iron calipers in terms of piston area, so the M/C remained as is.

Yeah gotta watch the piston sizes....and that's kinda related to weight...what's the Old-pile? Ascona???? Weight? 2250?

And Jason what's the Xratty weigh ready for battle?

Since it's a race car, not rally car, it's pretty light. 1965 lbs. M/C is a bit larger than OEM @ 7/8", and is non assisted. Takes a tad more effort, but nothing brutal.

Added a brace to keep the firewall flex down. Some sort of Lockheed M/C, possibly Mopar application, I can't recall.

Ill give them a try John. I'll PM my address. Also, do you have any more of the adapters for the Supra rear end change over? Probably going to convert my back up car to Supra rear end as well.

Gotta love the Opels. We have a couple of the Manta's that mini stock on the Asphalt oval. Not sure since I have never driven one, but the guys that have said they handle like a dream.
