I've tried tracking it with USPS, and Canada Post, they both show that it arrived in Canada on June 12th and there is no record of anything happening since. Canada post says it must be stuck in customs. I called custsoms and they said Canada Post should be able to tell me wher it is, as it never leaves their warehouse. Fuck... I'm getting jerked around, I need these $8 bushings. $16 of postage has done jack shit towards getting them to me. So far it's been 11 days... Great fucking system. John... Canad Post said that you coudl initiate a lost package trace as teh sender... Apparently I can't do this. Could you try? Here's the tracking number... I'm going to Baie. Can JV send any duplicates to me via domestic mail or Fedex to me in Nude Hamster and I can just drive them up there?
It would have to be fast mail, though, as I'm leaving Tuesday afternoon (going to split the trip since I'm traveling with my baby son). Planning on getting to New Richmond late Wednesday afternoon. Post Office is still better than UPS, at least they don't rape me for brokerage fees. So these press in then need to be machined for .002 - .0025 clearance,is that what I remmeber you saying? Jeeezus, what can we do? Postes Canada have dome this same shit too many times. Lazy incompetent bastids. It's all that Socialismus free ride stuff you got up there, it destroys personalincentive and washes away any semblance of responsibility. Time for a Revolution! Yeah they're correct on the OD to press straight in then bore it to 40mm +0,2 to 0,25mm over.Or 0.002 to 0.0025" Make a double ended press too out of some alloy with a step for the two distances they need to end up at. Measure before you pull the old ones out. John Vanlandingham Sleezattle, WA, USA Vive le Prole-le-ralliat www.rallyrace.net/jvab CALL +1 206 431-9696 Remember! Guys,
I am in the shipping business. Brokerage fees are charged on "GROUND" shipments. Express shipments are not charged brokers fees. Sometimes with light weight items it is cheeper to EXPRESS them than ship ground and pay brokers fees. I am talking about DHL/UPS/FEDEX. Nick Leone Nick Leone Former scca member |

Dooooooood....I'm not even WORKING now, I'm trying out the stay at home dad thing for a while. So any car money for anything other that daily driver maintenence has to come from the lucrative world of selling off my Merkur parts overstock. And we all know I need to redo the cage in my shell, so unless I can sell turn signal and fog light switches for $500 each, I won't be touching that project for a while.
I do have everything together to get my black XR4 street car back together, so that will happen soon since it's 100% labor. And haven't you read about them socialistas cracking down on street racing in Ontario? I'd be leery of driving a caged car around up there except at a stage event like Pines. But it's all good, Avery says hi: rbv-.r.rfd.b.9 .. mm nm nmfdufg f,mr ,mrl. e Andrew Steere Lyndeborough, NH KB1PJY |

Meh,
It's not that bad. I drove a caged car around onterrible for 5 years before moving out to the west-coast. Used to get pulled over all the time in Mississauga, one of the areas they are cracking down hard on the street racing thing. The keys were explaining that the car is NOT a drag racer, but a rally car. Make sure the officer understands all your modifications are for safety, not speed. Having a 30/30 paintjob that clearly isn't rice-boy helped a lot too. Always had difficulty explaining the exhaust and lights though... The only place in Ontario I wouldn't go anywhere near is Woodbridge. The cops there (York Region) are NUTS. Interestingly, however, is the fact that 15min away where my parents live those same cops have no problems with the caged car. It's all a moot point though. The Ontario navex events are all east of Toronto, and the huge crack-downs on street racing are north and west of Toronto. -Dave --- I'm not scared of commitment...I'm scared of you. |
