ok so here it starts...
I have had this car in the back yard for 3-4 years. The plan is to make it a Group 5 car for events here in the Pacific northwest.
It needs some rust repair and a lot of time but it should be ready for the '15 season even if that's the rallycross season.
heres the before pics...

the bolt in cage is not staying in..anybody interested? make offer..

That's not the Safari Lancer, you want an A73, which was the '77 to '79 RWD Dodge Colt. 1.6 mt. But the engine will still need updating. Suggest putting in 4g63t for easy and fun power.

I think this body style looks much better than the lancer years...The 'safari' will come from front and maybe rear bumpers, eventually front water flaps under the bumper, and lights. And yes the proper bell housing is on its way for the 4g63T (was going to be a evo years but now it's going to be a 6 bolt)

Well I haven't had much extra time to put in on the car, home projects have gotten in the way...
Should be able to work on it again at the end of the week...
But I did get the motor hanging in the car..and now it looks like I will have to make a new cross member and lower control arms to fit the new Miata steering rack around the transmission...work,work work....
