Bosch 225's and HID conversions... anyone done?

I've got some Bosch 225 rally lights... and would love to swap out the 100W H3's and put in 35w HID's. Yes, I know it will change the pattern slightly, but in the driving light I'm not too concerned.

Has anyone done this? retained the stock rear housing?

Still annoyed that there is no way to convert my Hella 2000's to a different style of bulb... H2's are a PITA to find, and nobody makes an HID conversion kit for it.
