I've look'd 'round, I'm sure there was yappin' of a generic bush that could go in a standard tube fer build yer own bushings. Some-tin bout jeep bushings or some-tin.

But I can't find it. Some other web mentions of jeep bushings but can't find a part number.

What I need...

inboard control arm bushings with shoulders, perhaps two piece, I like the idea of good ole rubber for some give... 2" or less and they fit in a tube I can get at local steel joint. cheep cheep...

Polyurethane mounts for just about everything. The "Universal" section has a decent amount of parts.

smarter people than me will add to this but I think you are probably being silly. Soft rubber allows the suspension to move in unpredictable ways. Unpredictable suspension movements equal random changes in alignment that lead to bad things happening. It's a race car so comfort can be sacrificed for predictable handling.

The best thing I did to the XR other than adding JVAB suspension was to replace all the rubber with poly, nylon, or metal. It feels like its on rails now.
