The best way to try to keep up with an evo or subaru with a 67 f100 is to take the shell off the f100 and fill it with subaru or evo drive train!

Even Kenny Blocks Gymk Mustang sucks compared to his Fiesta!

You need to lower the cubes down to under 5.0 liter engine.

Only replacment for displacment is forced induction! problem is rally rules say you cant have more then 5.0 liters If you add a turbo then there is a1.8 multiplier added. So you cant be over 2.7 liter engine and still have a turbo.

Youse guys need to read the rules on engine displacement. 5.0 liters is NOT the maximum size. 6.25 liters is the maximum size IF the engine has pushrod valvetrain. That's 381.4 cubic inches.

Ford Raptor : Add cage seats and belts = (nearly) done. > start the fun of removing un-needed weight.

all the bells and whistlesand comfort n such... no tow vehicle needed.

and you could tow small enclosed trailer for beer, welder, tires, tools etc. .

If you ditch it, just remove stickers and have stage sweep tow you to the nearest paved road that AAA can pick you up from... easy button. I like it.

If you really want to rally a truck.

Or hey, buy an old SCORE truck and I can probably tag it for you in Bama as a kit car. rofl.

Hail yeah...

67 F-100 Sand Truck

I wouldn't think you would get overwhelmed with Love, here, if you bring up a truck or something with an engine rear of the rear beam... But I dig it. I love Subarus, but if everyone has a Subaru it is boring to watch as a spectator or worker...

Forget Mustang II anything. Suspension is off-the-shelf easy, just look outside of any rally forums and explore the SCORE world for ten minutes.

I like it. Do it.

thumbs up

jeff rados had a sweet 5.0 powered ranger running the twin i-beams

and more than one jeep truck has run in 2wd class with good results and solid front axle

look to a bowler tomcat or wildcat for motivation

Seriously, If I may ask... for the sake of discussion :

http://www.race-dezert.com/classifieds/index.php?ct=orcar&md=details&id=87006

What is the list of things keeping say, something like this, ^ from running NASA/RA stuff ?

I see a tag on it, that's good. That checks a lot of boxes...

Yes, I little extreme maybe for a DD, but you could dial all that back a bit and add creature comforts as you see fit.

hmmm.

Guess I skipped that section of the rule book! No need to read a section that doesnt apply to a truly fast rallycar! We arnt dessert racers!

It would be cool to see some old school muscle car, hot rods run rally. Im not saying dont build a truck im saying if he wants to beat all the subaru and evos he needs something comparable. A $100,000 67 f100 still isnt going to beat a 20k EVO on a true gravel stage. Not counting the arizona dessert that thinks its a rally stage.
