The last Fiero that have seen rallying had a 12 foot trail of fire behind it!

There's 3 to choose from

You can get kits for the rs200 as well with the body work molds either the originals or taken off an original.

Another fun one would be an alpine, also available fiberglass. Too bad getting to rally a composite cockpit car would be nigh but impossible in the US. Scotch the Darrian as well, even though it has approval in the UK, as does the Ginetta G20.

You mean this Alpine?

There is a guy about 1/2 hour away that hoards all kinds of Renault stuff... has a couple A110 shells, some complete customer cars in the shop last time I was there, oh and a few R5 Maxi shells...

i like the idea of a mustang desert car as a stepping stone into a future rally competitor

baja bill has done well with his desert truck on many stages in this country .

post some pix of your car lets see how its going.

through the floor subframe connectors all the way

check this link out http://1985mustanggt.com/

its a road racer but the basics are all the same

I would rather drive a slow car fast as a fast car slow!

Woah, this is actually pretty neat. Anyone ever seen / driven / rode in one in person?

As regards the OP. My only addition is the 2.3 is a great engine but it is weak as shit naturally aspirated. The cylinder head tech and flow is just basically stoneage, it just feels anemic to me any way you cut it. I just built and tuned one with a 57mm turbo on e85 in an svo, they love boost. Just boost it if you really want any power from it at some point. You can get a stock turbo engine for cheap and they have forged rods and pistons stock. All the knowledge to work on these engines and turbo them is out there, http://forum.turboford.org/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi

for a desert car i would go with a 2.5 or 3.8 , but start with a set 4:56 gears aleast
