To me, this stuff seemed like witchcraft until this site and its fantastic drawings laid it out.
I figured it may be of some use here.

If you want to look into crazy 4-link suspension, find some reading on IMCA modified circle track cars. The rear diff swings forward on one side to help turn the car. They also run crazy jacking geometries. I'm not sure how much of it would be applicable to crashing through the woods.

But not the easiest to find. I'm sure had I tried hard enough I would have found it, But it's the sort of thing I didn't know I was looking for till I saw what I linked.

Thanks for the links. I can see that the 4 links are popular, but It's nice to gain an understanding why.
