Soon have a place to work, gets delivered in May! Small guy 18x26 but it's paid for.
Steel perimeter frame, 8x6 for the garage door side and 4x6 for the rest. Key is that being on skids it's classified as an "accessory" building by the county, $150 permit instead of $1000. So I was browsing Kijiji and found this setup. Carbs are original Italian stuff pre 1992, not the current Spanish/Chinese stuff sold. Came with a fully dressed ABA (OBD2 ), tons of jets and emulsion tubes, new fuel pump and a regulator so I can use the stock fuel pump if I want, a 2Y trans with some short shifter I can sell, a diesel starter which will be nice with the high compression I plan on running. He self negotiated himself down to $400 when I didn't respond 5s after he texted me lol.

Concrete contractor did an insanely horrible job in the basement to the point that our only option was to grind and go with epoxy to have something decent, got a primo discount by adding the garage to the deal. Went with something a little different but I like it.

Are you going to fit them to the ABA with Webers you scored up-thread?
If that is the plan then it might be worth doing a dry build to check piston protrusion and comp ratio. I found those pistons could have used a little more comp height as the engine CCed out at just over 11:1 with a std metal headgasket and un-skimmed head. Decking block would nudged up the CR and closed up the squish whilst retaining what little combustion chamber depth the head has. That said, if I lived in the US where the tall block ABA gasket is more common and less expensive I may have tried pulling laminates from the gasket to accomplish the same thing. Disappointingly not yet a Jackass |

Yes sir, webers, a 298° cam and hopefully some new better/bigger valves and pieces to go with. Thank you very much for the info on the fitment! Power means nothing if you cannot control it! Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 06/29/2017 09:39PM by ElectroTech. |

As with all things in life, not a whole lot going on with the build. It’s certainly last inline after everything here on the farm. But making more and more progress on the other stuff and that helps. Still keeping an eye out for a R&P and a good deal on a big valve kit. Trenched power and propane to the garage before the frost hit. Was out yesterday and insulated the walls. Will be putting in the soffit balffles and hanging poly. Will be able to get steady heat to it pretty quick. Got a few small maintenance jobs to do on our toys then I’m gonna drag the car in, finish stripping it then get going on seam welding. Slow and steady......lol

Well this project has officially died....selling the bits and pieces to fund a RWD project. Taking this on when we were about to have a child and starting a farm from scratch was not the best plan but has allowed me to change course without too much hoopla.
