Spinny spin spin! Pop Summit Racing radiator...install Saab unit scarfed from eEuroparts.com.

Oh, and if the fans and air ducting are not optimized, a 900 turbo radiator can't keep up in 95 degree heat.

Oh yeah? Foist dids..

And what the fuck is this cunt Spalinger going on about? Ever met the moron?

Only know of him from rally and facespace. I can't speak to his proclivity toward intercourse or genetalia. He has a blog called NISMO stuff or something like that.

Ok, back to work...

deleted the oil warmer to simplify the cooling system. Should really install the Volvo sandwich plate thingy and the cooler Bob Legere gave me many years ago.

If you're going to plumb in a cooler, then plumb in a cooler..
The Volvo turbo size I used on street 1700 "fairly warmed up" V4s. Worked good
For my own might V4 I used a Jag oil cooler same H and Thick as Volvo but another 4 rows...but that is still a little V4 making less poop than the turd-boat Lima..

Point is maybe you want something a tad larger for sustained bewst type powerz..maybe..

Maybe sumpin more along the lines of this:

or maybe say Mercedes diesel size--but thats a little welding to get easy AN fittings on it...

No maybe is you want a trustworth oil temp gauge which I like to put in the filter head so I see the oil temp coming back from the cooler---which is what the engine gets.. Like I did here:

And that's where I take oil off to feed the turbo..again turbo is doubtless much happier getting nice cool oil than from back of the head....

I have been running the Mercedes 300 turbo-diesel oil cooler for a while and it seems to work nicely.

seem (v.) Look up seem at Dictionary.com
c. 1200, "to appear to be;" c. 1300, "to be fitting, be appropriate, be suitable," though the more recent sense in English is the etymological one; from Old Norse soema "to honor; to put up with; to conform to (the world, etc.)," verb derived from adjective soemr "fitting," from Proto-Germanic *somi- (source also of Old English som "agreement, reconciliation," seman "to conciliate," source of Middle English semen "to settle a dispute," literally "to make one;" Old Danish some "to be proper or seemly"winking smiley, from PIE *som-i-, from root *sem- "one, as one" (see same). Related: Seemed; seeming.

seeming (adj.) Look up seeming at Dictionary.com
late 14c., present participle adjective from seem. Seemingly in sense of "to all appearances" recorded from 1590s.

seemly (adj.) Look up seemly at Dictionary.com
"of pleasing or good appearance," also "proper, tasteful, decorous," early 13c., semlich, from Old Norse soemiligr "becoming, honorable," from soemr (see seem). Related: Seemliness. Old Norse also had soemleitr "fine to look at."

Well I know it seems to be nit-picking---it seems you would have an oil temp gauge so rather than saying to yourself "That seems fine" you could say "275* ! YIKES!!! woe is me! Bo hoo hoo hoo" or maybe "Gloovy, mang, only 195 after a gruelling 2m30s run"

I was very deliberate in my use of the word seems. Oil temp gauge was never hooked up for rallycross.

it's a slow ongoing process

the 2.3t would be for a street car, but the 5.0 or even the 3.8 are still calling me

I would rather drive a slow car fast as a fast car slow!
first rule of cars: get what makes you happy, your the one paying for it!
