Twice as many camshafts! Front end bolts together. Ran out of seam sealer so started getting ready to clean up the engine before assembly. What's the consensus on aluminum flywheels? Only steel option is oem

Rally car is neatly tucked into its trailer while we redo our biggest project house yet. We purchased on June 1 and are hoping to have it finished by OCT 1. But I did do some rally prep while we are at it. The detached 24x50 shop is getting prepped to be a really nice workspace to get ready for rally next year.

We had to raise the ceiling on one side by 5.5" to compensate for some creative construction of additional space added sometime in the past as a lean to to the north side of the shop. I've also put in a very nice door, plumbed power, water, sewer, natural gas and network out to the shop at the same time. All the lumber resting on the footing had also rotted so every wall was jacked up and restructured with treated lumber.

Not that anyone cares but the house is coming along too. Tearout is done, plumbing and electrical are getting started. Beams have been calculated for wall removals. We are hoping to have a nice 5 bendroom 3.5 bath home at the end of this project. I'm getting antsy to work on the cars but I won't be turning a wrench until we are moved in to this monster. Anyone in the area is welcome to swing on by. you will get put to work and there will be beer.

AJ

EDIT: these pics are all from the first week and a half. I'm far to busy to post them but I am making sure I take them for when I get around to saving them.

Wifey is having fun with it, until I tell her something has to be changed due to structural constraints. Neighbors are nice. My biggest complaint is I always feel 3 days behind.

A light at the end of the tunnell! Move in Day is officially Dec 15.... Only a month or two or three behind schedule and a few thousand (15) over the budget....

I did these walkthroughs for me as the last thing I want to see is a thousand photos of bare studs. I tried to go once a month through the house. I'm leaving the porches till next year but ultimately we took a 2 bedroom (2 and a half if your are generous) 1 bathroom (second bath sorta roughed in) house and turned it into a 4 bed 3.5 bath home. We moved every structural beam in the basement and re did the spine of the main floor as well.

Here is the most recent walkthrough. I'm sanding and finishing floors today and this weekend and will likely do one more video before we move in.

And here is what we started with

The rest of the videos are on youtube if you are bored enough to go watch them. Shop is a 20x50 that got a 100 amp service, natural gas and modern plumbing!

The extruded curb makes way more sense now. That's definitely something you don't see around here.
