Yak, My transmission is starting to slip badly. Let me know if any of your buddies need a 2007 Matrix for 1800. BB value for the car is 2700 and it only needs the clutch so that is what I'm basing that price on. I still owe like 2400 or 2300 on it so FML. Going to throw the Crown vic on the road and drive that. Only has 130k on it anyway. I'm not sure if I want to sell the Matrix and put the money into the Celica, or pay off my loan. Probably put money into the celica if I'm being honest. I'm not sure if we should pull the engine and fix the timing, or just buy a new engine and rebuild it, then drop it in. We really should bring one of the cars, be it your volvo or the celica to cars and coffee. Text me your thoughts dude.

Yeah I watched the drift Bible again and I think for now auto trans, running motor, stock rearend, and decent brakes/working fun style ebrake are all I need for now.

Good idea, are we still going to Michigan for that transmission monday? Also I've been thinking about it and maybe a manual swap crown vic would be pretty dope. I mean it really should be direct bolt in after you replace the pedal assembly. We could leave the auto shift if we ever decided to sell it. Lol.

Yak, we gotta post some pics of the garage now that it doesnt look like you just drove the volvo through a wall lol. Also this coming weekend lets either pull the engine or repair the brakes. I vote pull the engine because I think if we start screwing around near the master when pulling the engine we might break things. Also I think when we finish moving all the bags of trash we should move the 7 where my bike is, pull the volvo forward, then drop the rear ceiling. Should open up the space a wee bit and allow for light installation. If we go with 3 floods, one where the door is, one opposite and one on the rear wall we should be good for night lighting. If we are buying the shop however, i think we should invest in decent fluorescents. Looking into fixing the piping now.

In the process of pulling the front end off. Let's all take a minute to ponder why Volvo had the audacity to bolt AND spot weld the panels together...I mean come on don't give a homie false hope with those bolts they could have put a sticker next to the belt diagram that says grab your grinder, your hammer, and your nutsack son. And now I'm staring at all the AC bullshit in the way. I was thinking about straight cutting it out, but then I saw how much a new condenser costs...

Are you talking about the upper core-support? Or the two side wings that the light assemblies bolt into?
It was only the later cars that had the bolts and the spot welds for the core-support. Early cars are all bolted together. Once you figure out how to pull a volvo part, they're super easy. You shouldn't need to open the AC system to pull the motor out.
