Thinking of getting the International 2S Pro, with the removable plug for power, and NO driver display socket, along with a couple of sensors.

John are you selling them still? your mailbox is full of love letters from beautiful foreign wimminnzz looking for a rally driver husband.

Frank...sinc ethe old guy sold it I have just been referring folks to go direct..also all the new guys with 0-3 events all know some App that works perfectly and with notes--and it seems the majority of the folks now refuse to even imagine a rally without notes, that say you don't need an odo..
They should know...

I thought it was full of people trying to find out info about their suspension they sent him months ago that he no longer can be bothered to return messages to. For some reason they always message me asking for advice on what to do...

Apps have taken over the world of rally odometers for the most part. (Coming from someone with 45+ events as a co-driver)

There are several that are in use on stage events, to choose from. ASE Rally Monitor seems to be popular.

Rabbit Rally is heavily in use for TSD (navigational) rallies, and when coupled with a remote GPS receiver (Garmin Glo, as an example) they are hard to beat. I've outright won several TSDs in tight competition with that set-up... but it does move you to unlimited class.

For the most part, GPS driven odometers bring more value to the game then traditional boxes. I used my Coralba in the recce car MUCH more regularly than I ever look at it on stage during an event as a co-driver. Most I've seen apps allow you to calibrate to the routebook. Compared to the cost of a dedicated ODO and sender, the cost of even the most expensive apps is a drop in the bucket.

I also won my North American and Canadian P4 (Stage) championships in a car that almost never had a working rally odo in it.

I'm getting the impression that I should NOT get a rally computer for my car. I am not as in tune with Rally as I thought I was.

EDIT: is it fair to expect the Navigator to supply the iPad/device and rally app then?

Get one if you want... but if you're using casual co-drivers rather than a regular one, I'd almost expect them to use their own phone and app rather than the Brantz in the car.
That hints at the answer to your question...
Yes, it is fair to expect the navigator to supply the devices and the app.
