AMC Eagle SX 4 Sport

Fan of the Gene Henderson AMC Eagle red white blue color scheme. My brother found this car Facebook. Paint badly faded of silver metallic, needs some color. Picked ‘Racing Green metallic. Car find...came with original window sticker AND build sheet, ( typically place under rear seat cushion.giving the car a good going over...

Cool....

Being sick in the head, I actually like AMC’s.

Will probably be hard to make it competitive though.

And when you wad it up-a new shell will take a while to find.

Maybe slightly easier to find a Spirit body which appears to be quite similar if not the same.

Didn’t Henderson’s car have a 401 V-8 in it?

What engine and class do you plan on running it in?

Or are you even going to rally it?

Yes an Eagle is the 4 wheel drive of a spirit and in 1979 was last year of AMX with a 304 V8 available. Gene son , Mark, I email communication with sent me pictures of his Dad car, yes had a V8, like the Dean Blagowski car had a V8 ( 390) full time 4 WD , which I bought from Kyle in 2016. But in 2018, kidney cancer, had to sell it before I could really work on it, had only started to return the paint color to original. Sold to Ted, back to Detroit area. That car had 3 shocks each side front. Many pictures available on internet when it was selling in 2011.

But a very happy...’sick’ man...sad we are bullied ! Lol, lol
I also have a 1970, out of California, no rust Javelin 390 option, 4 speed, 140 mph speedometer, tach, previous owner must have worked in a chrome plating shop, any piece of steel item that could be unbolted was chrome plated, including the end rod of steering column. AND a did a replica car of the 1979 AMX raced at Nurburgring by a team that James Brolin ( married to Barbra Streisand). was a driver. Picture attached with me by the original car in 2009. Then a picture of my replica...
THERE....Does that cure me of my sickness...now.) ,lol

There was a built V8 motor for this vehicle over in one of the FB rally groups that had a provenance to Gene Henderson I beleive. Could be a nice addition.
