OCTANE...do I need some mo?

We are running around 11:1 compression, now with programmable engine management. Obviously running 92 Octane is a good thing, dialing in more timing is fun. You think stepping up to 100 octane fuel is going to be worth the extra price? Would going to a 100+ Octane be worth it?

Depending on how wild your cams are 11:1 isn't that much compression -- but the real answer is to be found on the dyno, give your "tuner" free reign with the car for an afternoon, spend some dough on a barrel of decent fuel and see if he makes more usable powah by fiddling with the dials...

Cheers, Ted

p.s., having seen you at LSPR and given that I'm planning on running in the same class with you in the not too distant future, I'd say you have plenty of power winking smiley
