How to go through $10K real quick

You sold the Colts, and have money in the bank. They are going to Finland, where true Lancer rear ends will be grafted on, and they will historic rally.

You've got two pre-rallied E30 325is that need some work and full outfitting.

Here's how quick you can spend the money you sold the Colts for:

Part Quantity Source Price Ea. Price Tot.

Interior

OMP RS-PT Seats (got 2) 2 Hoerr $597.55 $1,195.10
OMP Mounts (got 2) 2 Hoerr $84.55 $169.10
G-Force No. 7001 Harnesses 4 Hoerr $134.99 $269.98
Momo Mod. 07 Steering Wheel 2 LTB Motorsports $204.00 $408.00
Momo Hubs No. 2006 2 LTB Motorsports $72.00 $144.00
OMP Pedals 2 Hoerr $36.10 $72.20
OMP Co-driver Footrest 2 Hoerr $80.75 $161.50
K-Sport Hydraulic Handbrake 2 Ultrarev.com $169.00 $338.00

Chassis

Turner Reinforcement Kit 2 Turner Motorsports $159.95 $319.90
Solid Engine Mounts 2 AKGMotorsport.com $90.00 $180.00

Suspension

H&R "OE" Springs 2 Tire Rack $224.00 $448.00

Brakes

VW G60 discs 4 Napa $50.00 $200.00
Wilwood Dynalite Calipers 4 Hoerr $138.85 $555.40
Caliper Adapter Brackets 4 Machine Shop ?
Rotor Machining 4 Machine Shop ?
Line Fitting Adapters 4 Napa ?
Balance Pedal Box 2 Compbrake.co.uk £169.00 $667.33

Steering

Z3 2.7 Turn Quick Rack 2 Autohausaz.com $286.38 $572.76
Rack Installation Kit 2 AKGMotorsport.com $30.00 $60.00

Total $5,761.27

And there is more to do!

Going with the 5/8th, and 3/4 MCs on the balance bar set-up.

The K-sports are fine. They're in about five or six different rally cars here in Colorado.

You don't bleed them in the car either. You still bleed the brakes the same way. smiling smiley

Cool list. You should have bought all or most of your interior stuff at Checkpoint though. Cheaper and rallyists. Just saying. smiling smiley

That's cool that the Colts went to Finland!

I Purhased my race suit from Checkpoint because they were a rally company.

However: (1) They don't appear to carry OMP products, and the prices on the Sparco head restraint seats are significantly higher; (2) they don't appear to carry G-Force products, and the FIA harnesses that they do have are twice as much; (3) they don't appear to carry the Momo Model .07., etc.

As a lot of the stuff has not been purchased yet, I would be more than willing to entertain a competetive bid for the interior stuff of equal spec.

FWIW.

Wilson

Rich:

Finland is old rally car heaven. Think about it. If they were going off shore, I couldn't think of a better place. Plus now we have our Finnish hosts for when we go over there to rally! In fact, we're talking about keeping an Escort to play with. Here's our guy's e-mail:

By the way, anybody interested?
Ford Escort RS 2000 Mk2
grF rallycar
chassi in ok condition, never rolled or seriously crashed but could use new paint..
186bhp
Tran-X straight-cut close ratio gearbox
5.1 +lsd
Quick steering
Pedalbox
Bilstein suspension
etc...
5500 eur

There website doesn't contain all of their inventory. It's really best to just call Mitch about stuff. Or Mark on Saturdays. Wasn't chiding you for it, just mentioning it. Just a few months ago I ordered a battery relocation kit from Summit, was down there putting it in my car and they were like, did you put that on your tab sheet? I was like, what you guys sell these?

When you going to post up some pics of these new beamers.

Oh, and buy the Escort!

Just checked my records. My OMP hub was $65, my Momo steering wheel was $120, and the Sparco seat mounts were $75 from Checkpoint. Those were the main ones that caught my eye actually, looking through your list.

Don't know if Mitch carries the G-force belts, but I know I've used G-Force, Sabelt, and Sparco before and will only buy Sabelt. Mitch used to carry alot of G-force when they first opened, but mostly dropped them in favor of better products.

Wilson,

I was just poking fun about selling Off Shore. I've sent old Mitsubishi rally parts down to Australia a few times, but didn't know there was any demand in Finland. Sounds like you have a nice reciprocal arrangement going there.

Since it hasn't been ordered yet, I'll call over and see what CP can do comparatively.

We had the G-Force belts in our Colts, and I was favorably impressed. We had the 6-point FIA ones. They worked better than the last couple of Sabelt sets I've used. And the price is right.
