Yeah thanks those pictures help out big time. Alight I've got a better idea of whats going on now.
On the summit webpage when I took Pete's advice I started looking at differential setup shims and I saw some thing in there that must have been seals or something that had bolt holes in them and a way more complicated design.
Tim makes it sound easy how he said to use heavy tin snips and 304 stainless shim stock. You could pick your centerline and use a compass with the metal pointers on both sides to scribe the circles on the shim stock and then cut it out carefully.
You wouldn't believe the production I was making it out to be in my mind. It actually doesn't sound to bad.
