Ah the fuse argument raise its head again...

Having hit a rock wall at 45 with the dave sport plated arms... No it is not better to have chewing gum wapper control arms... the rest of the car is fairly strong but I do recomend adding bobbins for the rear a arm bolt and upsizing to a Subbi bolt of 12mm from the 10 mm bolt there now... After hitting the wall we still managed to be the fastest 2wd car and 4th overall on the stage - not something we would have be able to do with a wacked out bent arm... having a car that you need to limp into service is not really that fun, build it well so you can stay in the fight until it is flully nackered and will not move on its own power.

I spent years trying to brake everything on the rally car and never managed to brake the ball joint so I would guess that is not a week spot. I think I once forgot to tighten the ball joint bolt and it came off but the joint its self never failed.

I did finally bend a dave sport arm but it took rolling the car twice and removing the front wheel with blunt force tramma by slamming into a huge rock at high speed. I know the brake disk exploded and I think the hub may have also exploded in that moment. The plated arm did bend but the sub frame and rear bolt made it but the rear bolt was bent...

In the long run reality always wins.
