my answer for a "supported" rear end for the mighty max

and by supported i'm mean i find a single damn after market part for it.


85 and old toyota 4x4 truck rear end. it's a whopping 1" narrower then the mighty max, but i can now have rear disc brakes, gearing options, spools, lockers, LSDs, OH MY!!!!

Toyota 8" axel.
There's a good reason wht I'm pushing these under cars.
Pick-up for Volvos, Supra for IRS cars.

Looks good.

or moosh them together like i'm doing and put the supra lsd in the truck v6 third member. clutch lsd for cheap, oh yeah baby. smiling smiley

yup cheap GM crap from the junk yard, cost me $8 for both sides on half off day.


stock 4.10 gears for right now. my supra lsd just showed up today, been toying with 4.88s, but that might have to wait till later next year. we will have to see how the $$$$ flows over christmas time.

what width axle fits under the volvos best, the 55" 85 and earlier or the
58.5" 86 and newer

I'm sure we used the 58.5" unit.
240 Volvo rear track is a chunk less than front track stock so we'ze fingered the wider track would eliminate the need for spacers.
