20p nails and gaffer's tape! way better than Duck tape.

Who'd want to tape ducks anyway?

Gaffers tape... sounds expensive. And those poor gaffers! I figured something a little more high-tech than bubble gum... but nails? That requires investing in a hammer, or a well proportioned rock. Would some thumb tacks do the job? I could steal them from work... one tack a week... no one would ever know!

I do have a box of paperclips... standard smooth, not the rough kind... just clip them to the car?

pop riveted to my quarter panel and lower bumper.

I guess I don't have a shot of the actual inside...but its basically riveted at the edge in a few spots all the way to the bottom. the uhmw is 3/16"...so its stiff enough that the inside edge doesn't need to be mounted to anything.

oh, here you go...but this side doesn't have a bumper cover, so I riveted it to something else.

Rivits? Ew!
I bolted 1" aluminum angle onto the outside of the fender and then bolted the mudflaps on to those with big washers.

Cant see em in this pic, but I'll post it anyways.

Rivits sounds like they'd get ripped off. Mine will tear the fenders off before the flaps tear off, I used plastic (polysomethingalene) from www.argonics.com Its generally used to line mine rock hoppers, so its specially made with resistance to abrasion from rocks. Only problem is that its $400 for a 4x8 sheet, but I went in and asked nice and they gave me a defect roll for free!

but isn't that the point? I'd rather rip a cheap ass flap off before I ripped my actual fender off.

and 3/16" rivets aren't exactly girly.

Riveter? I don't even know her!

It gets annoying replacing mudflaps after every off road excursion rips them off. And rivits get loose and the holes get all wonked out. As long as I dont back over mine they're not coming off.

Besides - I think my mud flaps are worth more than my fenders...

I've ripped mine off at least four or five times backing out of the driveway. Annoying as fuck.

Here's how one certain Audi A2 has theirs mounted - also saves the fender and you won't rip it off backing up

Yeah how come all the Grp B cars had theirs mounted that way and you never see it done like that.

Rivets work on parts that do not move relative to each other. A wiggling, flexing mud flap will undo a rivet in a few thousand cycles (2 minutes on stage).

FWIW, here's snapshop of my mudflap setup. They're mounted to the frame as well (under the body)

oh, and my car is white now... grinning smiley
