It was coming here in one piece until some asshole decided to declare 10 conatiners of cars as furniture. He got busted in LA. I had to get the car cut in half and import as used parts.

The Mirage is a Japanese built car with a US VIN, kinda difficult to find but they exist. It is the VIN, title and unibody donor.

95. That's the trick. If you have an intention to do what I am doing, that's the only year that will work. MAKE SURE YOU ARE GETTING THE REAR HALF OF THE EVO TOO.
Spare tyre well and rear subframe from the EVO has to be grafted to the Mirage and you will also use the EVO fueltank. After that it's all smooth sailing.

Not a silly question at all.

And the answer is yes, absolutely but you may want to consider getting the center diff and gearbox that mates with that engine aswell, not that a Galant one would not. I can help you source one if you need.

It will fit under the hood no problem, mounting brackets and engine mounts are identical. I don't have a FWD gearbox so i don't know if you can mount it to the engine without an extra challenge. OTOH, 4G63 blocks have the same transmission mounting dowel and bolt holes therefore it shouldn't be a problem.

What evil tricks do you have up your sleeve ?

I'm buying the zero car from Seed 9 (the one that lost a wheel) to fart around with in Pstock. Should be fun, i'm getting it for a good price, and I assume the parts are reasonably easy to find and hopefully with some local expertise I can make it so it goes through an event without blowing up!

Hey Mus,

Does this mean the Evil Possessed Gaylant is toast and we'll be seeing you in the left seat at Gorman?

Nope, the EvoL Posessed Gaylant is not kaput yet, the EVO will be a daily driver/recce car. However the Galant is getting a new shell soon, it already got a new engine.

I talked to Teeter yesterday again. I want to get the car but the drive from Phoenix to Portland is a bitch. If I can get the logistics arranged I want to get the shell from him. Jeff over at Chaste is going to OTR and may be able to trailer it back to CA and if that works out I will pick it up on the way back from RIM.

If anybody has any ideas or can help me get the car fom Portland to PHX I'm all ears and a check book.

Did you see all the rust in that shell though Mustafa? I'd talk him down to $1,500.
