Rob,

For Silverstones, check-in regularly with the Tabor family in Oregon. They're the Silverstone Dealer and they Rally a LOT. So, they often have a good supply of reliable take-off's.

Also, don't hesitate to contact any Active competitor ( particularly those with AWD.) They go through a lot of tires and if they're well healed, their take-off's will have a lot of life left. The trick is to stay in touch with whoever seems cooperative... and snap them up before somebody else does.

problem is that everybody with 4wd is going for the biggest and widest tire they can, not because they need it for all the rip-snortin root-tootin death defying
BeeeHaitchPeee in their cars, but merely cause that's what everybody else is doing cause somebody has big fantasies somewhere.
So aside from John Lane, nobody can use these big tractor things virtually ever 4wd car is seeminly addicted to.

Low bhp 2wd boys seem to run the tires til they're shreded

See what I was saying? For 32mm restricted local boys that's really too big for them, they should try 15/65s or maybe 15/64 x 15.

Then we could buy their take offs and get cheap tires for cheap.

I have tires, lots of them, plies of decent. I typically run 2 stages on them.

I have some L82 14/62/15 I have more Silverstone med soft 15/62/15 I also have some new Falkin 15/65/15 or there about I think they are called 195/65/15 in med soft.

I also have 2 hard silverstone 15/62/15's. Last I checked I have about 20 or so tires all up.
