Ok, bumping this thread from the past since I was outside today fiddling with my crossmember trying to decide just where the hell it bolts up relative to everything else. The ford diagram is sufficiently useless:

Is it supposed to sit in front or behind the steering rack? Either my frame rails are a bit tweaked or somebody didn't measure right as my x-member is about 1/4" too wide to fit between the rails anywhere remotely close to the motor...

Of course it was measured carefully. Move forwards a bit, somewhere around the front pulley. (We made it using a real 909 part as a sample).

Since I just discovered that a good portion of the DS rear fender is bondo, there is no reason to suspect my car is the least bit dimensionally correct...

>paddy these cars are flimsey enough in the fenders that a big dent doesn't mean the front si skewed a bit.
If you're worried I do have the body shop jigging dimensions so you could waste a bunch of time measuring so I'll look and see if its legible enough to send, OK?
