hear is the rear hubs im going to use they are Intrepid front hubs they are really cheap 5x4.5, and
33 spline new custom shafts are going to be under $200. I am using them on another project aswell

i think it could be cool to use a coupe like this:

sort of reminds me a bit of the MKII escort.

throw some box flares on it and you could have a pretty cool car. of course that would be more $$$ since the coupe is pretty new.

um ya I have thought that since I started!!!!
if you hunt you can get a 08 2 door for 6000.

That's why I call it rsf2000 would be sweet parked next to a rs2000!!

when the st turbo comes I'm going to buy one and do the kit to it, that's
the goal.

thank goodness i am not the only crazy one who thought of a MkII the first time i saw one of those.

by the time they drop down to the $1000 range maybe i will be able to do this swap.

Hey William

Quick Q

Does the 4 liter tranny have the same bellhousing bolt pattern as the 2.3/3.0l tranny?

Thanks, Ted

no I still wonder about the new v6 mustang because the 4.0 and
newer mustang have much better gears would work fine with a turbo.

Another Focus! it has 1200 miles on a wreck the front work
will be one off like motor mounts but the front frame and rear frame will
be spot on and give us a good idea of that the production frames will
look like. Shops full of cars so it gets to live with my Subaru parts tester.

first we get to see how far back we can realistically stick the motor back the
goal is to get cylinder 2 in line with the front hubs.

Hear is the ranger block set in there looks a little forward
Might be able to get another inch but that would be pushing
It. The air box is really close to the tunnel but the tunnel
Is not bad size but the room needs to be made for the
Bell housing.

saw a clever way to modify a trans tunnel in a hotrad magazine. they used a heavy gauge steel wheelbarrow and then cut it up and rewelded it to fit. got a nice curve to it without having to fiddle around with shaping metal.

now the question remains as to how sturdy it would be for rally...

Um I don't think thats the question at all there are lots of focus's rally and rally x
and street 4x4 focus's that do quite well as north south motors. The hardest part
in this is not any one thing its making a package that work and dose not take
a 6 year degree to pull off. I am most mad about the air box that is something
thats not just metal work if it needs to be modified. Tunnels mounts and bars
I can make and reproduce redly and effectively.

The focus will need tower reinforcement no matter what motor sport its going to
be used for they move and pull a lot its probably the worst down fall of this chassis.

i meant using a wheelbarrow as a a source for tunnel modification to save some labor.

i am sure your work will be just fine for rally.
