Been following this (and on FB too) and just started to wonder... speaking as one of the resident wankel pervs, would motors other than the Duratec concievably work? Obviously have to badge engineer it as a Mazda 3 then, but that's rather simple. The idea of not having to reinvent the chassis and suspension is appealing.

And no, I'm not in a position to throw around money right now, it's not a big deal or anything, I'm just curious. I mean, it sure looks like there's a pretty decent amount of room in that thing...

if you know me i say Fuck it!! you have them or love them it
would be cake. Mounting the motor was the easiest part of
this whole thing. I want to do the new duratec v6 because
you will get 27 miles to the gallon and when your foot is down
you get 280 lbs and 300 hp for dirt cheap and they will fit better
and probably get us too 50/50 easier.

For a power steering cooler a setup like this might prove more durable.

http://www.speedwaymotors.com/AFCO-Power-Steering-Fluid-Cooler,41118.html

3/8" AN6 x 14.75" extrusion. There are a couple designs on the market like this around $60. This one claims to reduce by up to 30* F.

If you could find the supplier for the extrusion it would be simple to tap some fittings in and save some bucks. I wasn't able to find the extrusion stock on it's own with a quick Google.

Intake! so the cbr1000rr looks good so far let it be said if you have the money buy a nice
purpose built Itb set up, but you cant beat 100 bucks! hear is how I did the plentom part
I'm going to add tangs to hold it on the itbs and a 3 inch end for a coupler.
