John let me steal away some of those nice manuals he has, so I'm (slowly) scanning them in here. If someone wanted to compile them all into a pdf, that'd be nice too...

Ford RS2000 F2 Book:

Ford Sierra Cosworth 4x4 Book:

Escort WRC and Cosworth GpA on the way...

bump for Derek

Are there any scans of the Fiesta R2 build manual? Just curious to see some prep level that they go through in the car.

Exactly.
It's Malcolm Wilson's gig, everything is for sale.
You want info, buy the parts and the car and they'll tell you "You spent this much, its fine, go."

For a fascinating glimpse of what its like to buy a ride from M-sport you can spend a few hours reading Anthony Warmbold's Blog..and see what several million euro gets you for information.

Don't have hours to read a depressing tale?
OK the short answer is "no information", you don't need it..

Even the Escort WRC build manual was going downhill. It was more of a part manual with some pictures. The Sierra Cosworth and Original Escort are by far the two best manuals. I suppose the F2 Escort or whatever is probably useful for a FWD person. Never looked at it much so not really sure.

Pretty sure the R2 build manual is much similar. Best chance of seeing anything from it would be to talk to a certified builder outside of North America.

Well I was thinking that these manuals were obviously payed material by someone at some point in time. So I don't know if there were similar to the new R2 manuals and see what compares.

If I were a manufacturer producing build manuals I would hide in some sort of ID check in the text with some sort of code that wouldn't be obvious to the reader.

The R2 site has comparable to manuals but just shows the physical parts with very low resolution pictures.

Wow, Billy that was really informative. caliper pistons size, disc diameters, f/r brake master sizes, spring rates, damper settings ,. camber caster, toe settings, ride height, gear ratios, that had everything a person could possibly be curious about.

So thorough! Hard to imagine. Way nicer than all those older books.
We should probably delete those and just post that Fiesta manual since its obvious its the new 86 Golf, and that all the cool kids will be in those within the coming year.

Always bringing such positive comments to Rally Anarchy.

I meant to post this as a hint of what information they have available through their tech bulletin update page:

http://fiestar2.com/index.php/component/remository/Technical-Bulletins/

The other link just shows a parts list.

Thank you. I try.
It is so reassuring that all that juicy information is password protected.
That's the wave of the future.
I must be an idiot for giving away as much useful and detail information as I do...

Thanks for the link.

I have the full R2 Build Manual on a disk! And I really wanted the "prepare a sierra" book. But the old link is bad sad smiley. If anyone has an up to date link please post grinning smiley.

Cheers,
