needed to know where the defrost vents were gonna be before I could build a hood for the gauges.
Started some wiring 
Got into some more wiring 
and a little fab... Got the switch panel hinge lined up. Sorry for the crappy pic, in a hurry to get to bed! Also looks like the A4 shifter bucket is the trick to putting an 016 in the 80/90 chassis. Might have done some fiddling with that too  but need to get some grease and freshen up the shifter before I get too far.

John, the strut mount is soooo close.
The diameter of the hole in the top of the audi strut tower is 51mm (approx, my freaking calipers are down at the install) any way they are the same diameter as the inner diam of the top piece... Same diameter as the inner diameter of item 1 here 
I'm thinking I can wedge a small chunk of wood up into the top of the tower to give a centering piece for a holesaw and just punch out the few needed mm. Seems to be plenty of meat to the tower... Rears will be a little more fun but should be doable as well. Other updates... hotter than a popcorn fart around here. Saturday is gonna suck working in the sun! |
