None, that's a foo-foo thing for people with money throw down the toilette.
Serves absolutely no need on something you're not laying down with the steering wheel in his lap.
You laying down on the floor of your Saab with the wheel hitting your thighs?

Get some that make s the car go faster.

well as a matter of fact, I would like to move the wheel down a bit. It's not quite the school bus rake of the 99, but the 900 wheel could use some adjusting.

The cage cross bar negates the stock dash support. So I'm putting a steering shaft in and thus have the option to put the wheel where ever I want.

I do tend to like it in my lap...the wheel that is. smiling smiley

If you're dead set on doing it, find out what the drag guys use and avoid it.

A lot of the drag cars I play with have jungle-gym cages that take forever to get in and out, and so they have quick-releases. They all feel really scary to drive, with the wheel able to flop around this way and that. Either the open wheel racers who use them have a much nicer (expensive) setup or they don't mind the loosey-goosey feel either.

Get a splined one. Checkpoint sells some new company who's product is really nice. Not sure on cost, but I'd just call Mitch and talk with his about it. We used a Sparco one in the Audi and it was sweet.
The hex ones are cheaper, but that's what Pete's talking about with the wiggle of the wheel.
I personally really like quick releases and will always use them. There not very expensive and it's a cheap anti-theft device and makes dash removal, working under the dash, and other such things easier.

I agree with you Pete. The hex ones wiggle the hell around....very disconcerting. I also failed to mention that I'm putting a 2:1 steering quickener in...Saab 900 with slow power steering. So some of the oem column has to go.

Grant, I'll look at those guys. All the sparco shit is stupid ($200+) expensive. The roundyrounders have some stuff, but the bolt flanges are all set up for 3 bolt.

I have one of the stupid expensive ones in the Subaru. Works perfect and is solid.

Cheers! John
