What size ID springs will these and your "50's" use John, 70mm?

On the 50-52 I already have supplied I made the spring seats for easily found and affordably priced 3" ID.

The trend has been towards larger and larger diameter springs: for a given rate, more travel as diam goes up..
Example, by 93-94 Ford was using around 3.5" ID springs.
And if you get the travel in a shorter spring then it can be like many road cars and ALL the spring can be above the tire and that makes tire/wheel to strut/spring interference way less of the chronic problem it is.

Actually been fiddling with this for a fast road car project for a guy with a way bad Xratty, have the 3.5 ID or 5" OD spring seat right next to the keyboard.

I can supply pictures, weights and some measurements of the MCA stuff if anyone is actually interested. Turnaround was reasonable (4 weeks for a full set for my S13).

Haven't driven on them yet, but they look like they are up to the task.

I emailed mca about a 1/2 hour ago and this is the response I got back. $1850 is $1888.00 in us dollars.

Good day Jeff,
Thanks for the enquiry.
I do basically 2 types of suspension, canister type and no canister type. Also in McPherson strut type I do 3 sizes of inserts, 45/40 and 55/50, and also 55/46 which is a very robust "Safari" spec. There is no price difference between these sizes. I would normally do 55/50 for an 08 Subaru. The speed performance of rally suspension is in the valving department, not the size of the piston. The size of the piston etc. is about whether it has the integredy to do the job it has to do, or for fitment restrictions.
Pricing is as follows- In AUD.
No canister. Adjustble bump/rebound. $1200ea.
Canister type. 3 way adjustable $1850 ea.
Spring $100 ea.
Top mounts with NMB ABT14 uniball. $275 to $350ea.
For overseas customer I also supply some extra service parts that might be required. The suspension is of conventional design and can easily be repaired by any experienced/ capable shock person.
Regards, Murray Coote

Man I hate the middle man method of doing business that is so popular here in the US.
"It takes us a year after announcing these to maybe announce who we're going to allow to sell them for us so maybe we'll have a product available sometime before 2015."

And then they discontinue production within three months because of "poor market reception".

Wait? Really? Did that happen? That'd be hilarious!

On what?
What car?
Including top mounts? Including springs? (some have their favorite springs)
EVERY single cars guys want something different, from stock top mounts to spherical bearings they already have (Like Busmeister) that use something smaller that I make, or longer or something..Or they want or need fancier springs that my cost on is more than my retail for the springs I supply.

I think the telephone number is fairly clearly posted, take about 3 seconds to dial.

And countless people have said they've paid around $2000 for a 4 strut car and it has been a little less for strut/shock cars...
Prices have been steady for nearly 8 years---but they're going up maybe 5-7%..

I remember vaguely you were all over the map, that you were going to make your own tubes or something..
But, see what I was saying? Everybody wants to do something special...

Did you ever decide what you wanted to do?
