Reliable, Low Pressure fuel pump?
December 14, 2006 11:19AM
Hi guys -- I'm looking for recommendations on a reliable, rally friendly, external low pressure electric pump.

By 'rally friendly' I'm inferring the ability to plumb them redundantly in parallel (ie. an idle pump will not allow reverse flow) and good vibration resistance.

I'm going to be running a DCOE Weber which apparently likes ~2-3 psi.

FWIW, I've run Lucas, Borg-Warner and Facet/Purolator pumps with varying degrees of failure in the past -- I'd really like a fueling system in the rally car that does not include the officially sanctioned use of a 'whacking stick' to prod a recalcitrant pump every few miles.

Cant remember the number exactly but i believe 2340 look into Carter Fuel pumps. Weber distributors recomend it as well...
