Dialing in some caster on a vw Rabbit

so I have some 1/4" thick strut tops already installed, but I'd like to dial in a bit of caster too....would I need to change the a-arm ball joint attatchment too, or would the couple of degrees that I could dial in really necessitate an angle change in the a-arm?

Ball joints can generally take a high ammount of missalignment. I've run them at significant angles on my stock car (nissan) and never had a problem. If you are concerned, run the suspension through the entire range without a spring in there (full compression, full droop, lock to lock). Do this with no boot on the ball joint so you can see what's going on... you're looking to make sure it's not binding. You should do this with any modified suspension anyway.

I was assuming the ball joint would be alright, I just wanted to check before I started changing to the suspension points, thanks for the tips
