Maybe those are flimsy pieces of alte scheisse like i been saying?drinking smiley

It is possible - also possible that given my swap from BMW to Toyota rear ends I simply left that part of the car to bear more load than it was designed to take.

Dave

They don't design them for any load. In BundesRepublik Deutschland, all bumps are strängsten verboten!

Bumps are also verboten in ganz BRD!

STRESS IST VERBOTEN!

I sent it somewhere. If memory serves, it was back to JVAB. I think one of the Idaho guys was looking for it shortly thereafter but I don't think I sent it direct to them.
I am doubtful that the LN treatment had much to do with the failure of Dave's stuff. I think it more relates to the diff mount not being sufficient.

I'll look. Did he beat you mercilessly?

I think the failure is from what I have always said about German stuff.

We have the death ray and we're done with it, do I need to ship it to someone?

You're done with it and haven't proptly returned it to the nice guy who slaved away for at least 15 minutes making it?

What the fuck is it wif you guys?
I make this and am nice enough to lend it out and it sits for a year somewhere in fawkin Pennsylvania or someplace horrible like that, then Grant sits on it for a couple of years and now...

Come on Pat you can see how this goes. We loose track of it and its gone for everybody..

Odd thing is there's actually 2 and i can't recall where the other one is either...

Pat, pull your wiener out and lay it on the welding table.
No whack it right on the tip!

(I ain't doing it! You have to!)

OK scolding done.
How's progress on the car?

Hows progress with being a daddy?

I've found that you can NOT spray on the liquid nitrogen. You need to either irrigate it (sprinkle) or fan the spray in such a way that the nitrogen just evaporates, or has almost evaporated as it hits the metal. It should never pool or run down the metal.

The ultra sophisticated Death Ray Gun was made of the choicest of fine alloy steel tubing that uncultured riff-raff might mistake in their appalling ignorance as "water pipe"....
Then after long and careful study of tooling, materials and optimised spray patterns the correct tools were acquired from all the available tooling and with true and precise wielding the correct semi-ovoidular shape was imparted.
Cynics have suggested that the choice was of the medium 6 lb hammer hanging within reach and that we simply wailed on the "pipe" 2 or three times, but they don't understand the need for exactitude and of grace---indeed the combined experience of "Welder Dave" and I was well over 75 years metalworking and all that was needed to unflinchingly in 2 or 3 master-strokes, forge the perfect applicator nozzle. Then of course the balance had to be carefully worked out of pressure, flow, and dwell time until a perfect harmony of sputtering LN and just the right crackling of the runner was attained and then with precise gentle taps, whole squre feet of the rubberized mass would fly off rapidly and continuously.
It is beauty in motion.

Is this death ray still around?

Need anything special or just it just hook up to the tank when you buy the liquid nitrogen?
