Bilstein shock valving help...
January 29, 2007 10:26AM
I need some help picking out Bilstein shocks for my historic beetle rally car. The car should weigh around 2100 lbs with 40-45% front / 60-55% rear weight distribution.

Bilstein 7100
Front 6.7" - Reservoir Shock - 220/115 (rebound / compression)
Rear 5.4" - Reservoir Shock - 345/135

Bilstein 7100 Valve Ratings --> http://www.bugsandbuggies.com/bil_Orgd.asp

These valvings are typical for baja class 11 stock Beetles. I think baja type valving would be similar to rally valving, but I really don't know if I need them to be that stiff. Help would be appreciated.
